Today there are literally millions of people here in the U.S. and tens of millions around the world who have yet to accept Jesus as their savior. As Paul says in Romans (Romans 10:14-15), “How can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?” Together we can make a difference by putting a free bible in their hands.
Soldiers in Need of Bibles
The need for Bibles among soldiers is great and there is a shortage of Bibles in the war zone. As few as 10 percent of soldiers have access to a Bible in many war zone Church services. There are 1.4 million American soldiers all around the world. Retired Military Chaplain James Linzey and President of the Military Bible Association, assures us there continues to be a great need for Bibles.
Help Provide Our Armed Forces With Bibles
Our Soldiers need the guidance and hope contained in God’s Word! They risk their lives for our freedom – and providing a Bible is one of the best ways we can help repay their sacrifice. As President Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated:
“As Commander in Chief, I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the Armed Forces of the United States. Throughout the centuries, men of many faiths and diverse origins have found in the Sacred Book, words of wisdom, counsel and inspiration. It is a foundation of strength and now, as always, an aid in attaining the highest aspirations of the human soul.”
